Pianist, saxophonist, vocalist and dreamer.

I have been playing piano since I was 5, and playing saxophone since I was 11. I studied piano privately from 1990-2004 with Susan Hellerud (specializing in classical music) at MacPhail Center for Music and about 1996-2000 with Karen Pieper (specializing in jazz music.) In 2001 I discovered hip-hop and rock piano and saxophone styling and I have been composing and performing it ever since with two national touring bands, The Blend and Lazlo Supreme.

I studied saxophone privately from 1996-2004 with Jeff King (jazz) at Cadenza Music and 2005-2006 with Dr. Eugene Rousseau (classical saxophone master) at the University of Minnesota.

The Lazlo Supreme album “Evil Made Easy” was the College Music Journal’s #2 most-added album in college radio in the United States and Canada in January 2010, and we are looking to build a much greater set of accomplishments with our next album. My debut solo album “Five Dollar Medicine” was recently released. Check out a sample, and visit the Shop page for more!
